
At least four people were killed Thursday when a small plane crashed in the central Mexican state of Puebla, AFP reported, citing authorities.
The single-engine plane crashed at around 12:00 local time (18:00 GMT), with videos on social media showing the plane crashing shortly after takeoff.
Dramatic videos on social media showed the small plane diving and crashing shortly after takeoff.
The plane was bound for the city of Poza Rica in the eastern state of Veracruz, authorities said.
Authorities in Puebla said three people were pronounced dead at the scene, while a fourth died after being taken for medical treatment, AFP reported.
Local media reported that the plane may belong to an aviation school, though the same is yet to be confirmed. The identities of the victims have not been released.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
