19 -year -old Desty Destmukh was amazed at emotions when she won the greatest victory of her career and defeated the senior countrymen of Humpy to win the Women’s World Cup 2025.
Wonder, born three years after Humpy became a Grand Master, played a veteran in the second game Rapid First sets for violations, prevailing in tense and finely balanced end game.
After shaking his hands with Humpy, the teenager stirred in tears. Then she threw herself into her mother’s arms, which was throughout the tournament in Georgia Batumi in Batumi. Even though she accepted her mother, Wonder could not hold her tears and fully absorb her success.
As congratulations to pouring for a 19 -year -old man still needed the comfort of her mother’s arms to understand what she had achieved.
Wonder became the first Indian chess player to win the World Chess Cup. She came from Nagpur and also won the Grandmaster title – she became only the fourth Indian woman who did. It is remarkable that it has achieved an unconventional way, because it did not finish the usual three GM standards or the evaluation of 2,500 ELO.
After drawing two classic games, it was the first set of tied substances that proved to be crucial because Humpy pushed under pressure. While Divya secured the historical title, the World Championship continued to escape Humpy. A seasoned campaign achieved almost everything in sports – except for the World Championship and World Championship. Waiting, unfortunately, continues.
As they developed
The first tie, emerging from Petroff’s defense, seeing Studya to enter the isolated royal medium game and even sacrifice pawns, seemingly giving Humpy his upper hand. However, when her clock ticks down, Humpy returned kindness and soon found that she was facing positions with a tower, a bishop and a pawn against Divy’s Queen.
Despite this, the game remained about the same and Humpy managed to force relatively lightness.
In Return, Humpy decided on the Catalan opening, but Divya was again well prepared and comfortably leveled. Humpy soon sacrificed the pawn, but the resulting Queen-and-Rook end game led to another draw.
It was 40. The move that Humpy lost peace and tried to break through the speculative victim of the infantry. Although Divya missed a stronger sequel, the Rook-and-Pyatr’s end game, which followed, still led to equality.
But that was Wonderful Day. When Humpy fought time pressure again, she was wrong in the end game and allowed Wonder to achieve theoretically winning position – changing the game and a sought -after title.
