
Tiger Woods, the golf legend and 15-time major champion, was heard by police talking to US President Donald Trump moments after his car crash in Florida, according to surveillance footage released by authorities. The incident led to Woods’ arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence and attracted considerable attention.
Footage released by the Martin County Sheriff’s Office shows Woods looking disoriented as officers assess the scene after his vehicle overturned near his home. During the questioning, Woods mentioned a phone call with Donald Trump.

In the video, the officer asks Woods to stay put while the investigation continues. Woods answers, waving the phone and saying, “Yeah, I just talked to the president.”
After the crash, Woods was given a field sobriety test before being handcuffed and taken into custody. Fifty year old golfer she has since announced a temporary hiatus from golf focus on your health after the incident.
Donald Trump commented on the situation during an interview with reporters and expressed concern about Woods. He described Woods as a “wonderful person” but acknowledged that he faces difficulties.
Authorities confirmed that Woods was not injured in the crash, which occurred on a residential road near Jupiter Island when his vehicle overturned. However, the episode brought new focus to his challenges off the field.
Woods was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after police saw signs of impairment. Although a breath test showed no alcohol, investigators suspect prescription drugs may have played a role. Woods admitted to taking such medication earlier in the day and said he was looking at his phone when the accident happened.
He refused a urine test, leading to additional charges under Florida law. Police found painkillers with hydrocodone on him at the time. This isn’t Woods’ first DUI-related incident; in 2017, he pleaded guilty to reckless driving after a similar arrest. Woods has pleaded not guilty in the current case and the investigation continues as more details emerge from the footage.
