World No. 1 was under considerable pressure. During the pause, before Zheng serves in the second set, the crowd shouted: “Come on Aryna, play tennis”, he seemingly ridiculed the three -time Grand Slam champion for his performance.
Sabalenko, visibly frustrated, sharply responded and told a fan to “close f *** up”.

Sabalenek drop to shock slaughter
Sabalenka went into the match as a firm favorite and had 6-0 leadership over her Chinese opponent. Last year, Zheng also defeated the Australian Open final at the Laver Arena Rod Laver. On Wednesday, however, Zheng opened her account and won 6-4, 6-3 at the Central Court.
The 22-year-old Zheng also ended Sabalenka’s 15-match won strip in the WTA 1000 events. Sabalenka, who won the Miami Open followed by Madrid Open at the beginning of this year, looked completely from the species and gave up without much fight.
Zheng took an hour and 37 minutes to improve from Sabalene. In the first set, the Paris Olympic gold medalist earned a break to come Trumps. Sabalenka would be gutted for not to convert any of her three chances to a turning point.
Zheng also dominated in the second set and smashed Sabalenek twice. Again, Sabalenka could not take two opportunities to the turning point she got.
Zheng also lost Sabalenko in the first service and won 82.4 % of them. Sabalenka won only 59.1 % of her first administration points.
In the semifinals, Zheng will be against the US Coco Gauff, who is fresh from beating the feeling of adolescent Mirry Andreev in direct sets.
