Watch: Arjun Tendulkar shines with bat and ball, gets big applause from captain Shivam Dube in dressing room

NEW DELHI: Arjun Tendulkar made a statement in the T20 Mumbai League 2026 and the appreciation he got afterwards from captain Shivam Dube showed how much the all-round effort meant.Having featured in just one match for Lucknow Super Giants during IPL 2026, the son of legend Sachin Tendulkar emerged as the star of Arcs Andheri on Monday, inspiring an impressive nine-wicket victory over Bandra Blasters at the Wankhede Stadium.Video from the team dressing room later captured the heartwarming moment as captain Dube singled out his players for special praise. He started with Arjun whose emotional reactions and expressions reflected the meaning of recognition.

Arjun dominates with bat and ball

Arjun struck first with the ball and returned impressive figures of 3/11 from three overs, including a maiden, as Bandra Blasters were restricted to 144/9 in 20 overs. Prasoon Singh chipped in with 2/12 while Om Keshkamat (49) and Sagarr Chhabriaa (44) were the main contributors for the opposition.Chasing 145, Arcs Andheri lost Divyaanesh Sksena after his quickfire 26 but Arjun and Musheer Khan ensured there were no more hiccups. The pair stitched an unbeaten stand of 116 runs for the second wicket to take complete control of the contest. Arjun smashed a scintillating 66 off just 34 deliveries while Musheer contributed 54 not out from 38 balls.Their partnership helped Arcs Andheri complete the chase in just 13.5 overs with 37 balls to spare.

Dube highlights the “backbone” of the team

While praising the players in the dressing room, Dube also acknowledged the contribution of Musheer Khan and Ajay Mishra.“We have not one but two backbones in our team. They are Ajay Mishra and Musheer Khan,” said Dube.He also praised Divyaansh Sksena for providing an excellent start and called Musheer’s innings “a special knock”.The emphatic win came as a timely reply for Arcs Andheri after they squandered a winning position against Aakash Tigers Mumbai Western Suburbs on Sunday and suffered a heartbreaking seven-run defeat.
