Temba Bavum urged South Africa to inspire inspiration from New Zealand before their upcoming tour. Proteas are ready for tour in India in November and December, where they will compete in two tests, three ODI and five T20i.
Last year, New Zealand surprised India with the victory of the 3-0 seriesLike their spinners, Ajaz Patel and Mitchell Santner, they checked the procedure. Bavuma acknowledged that Touring India was not an easy task, and noted that South Africa last won the test series as early as 2000.
“Touring India is never easy. Looking at how New Zealand went about his business, (that) was inspiring in many ways. Many teams come to India and were not successful,” Bavuma said at CEAT Cricket Awards Awards.
“Will not be shocked by the spins of playgrounds in India”
Bavum said he would not be surprised if India prepared a company friendly for their upcoming playground, due to the World Test Championship format.
“As far as the surfaces in India are concerned, (they are) friendly to spin. We will not be shocked if we get to India, and we play on the goals of friendly to rotation,” Bavuma said.
“Generally, teams are now always using their conditions for their advantage, especially with the World Cup cycle in the test and the way it was established, so we will not be surprised in this respect,” he said.
Before the Indian tour, the South Africa Republic will start a campaign in the WTC 2025-27 cycle, when they lock corners with Pakistan in a series of two matches, starting on October 12 at the Gaddafi stadium in Lahore.
After Fighting the first two WTC editions, Proteas defeated Pat Cummins ‘Australia with five goals on the iconic cricket playground in London with the defeat of Pat Cummins’.
