
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a heavy rain warning on Sunday for several districts across the country, including Maharashtra, Gujarat and Tamil Nad, because of the Shakti cyclone, effective from 3 to 7 October.
“Heavy to very strong rainfall with exceptionally strong rainfall probably over North Bihar and extreme rainfall over East Uttar Pradesh & Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim,” Met said in its everyday prediction.
He also said that a well-marked low-pressure area would bring heavy rainfall in the sub-Himalayan West Bengal until Monday morning, released red warnings for the Sub-Himalayan districts in Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Coch Behar, Jalpaiguri and Alipurduar.

The weather agency said that one or two areas in these districts are likely to experience extremely heavy rainfall until Sunday morning, which is expected to continue in Alipurduar until Monday morning.
Light to medium rainfall is probably in most places in these districts until Monday morning, IMD said in the bulletin.
“Well -marked low pressures over West Jharkhand and the adjacent areas of the southern Bihar, Southeast Untar Pradesh and North Chhattisgarh are likely to move on Saturday evening towards Bihar and on Saturday evening they are gradually weakening to a low -pressure area,” he said.

In most places in South Bengal, the forecast is light to middle rain, with severe precipitation expected in the districts of Murshidabad, Birbhum and Nadia until Monday morning.
The meteorological department also released the weather warning for several districts in Tamil Nadu due to a cyclonic circulation, expected to be expected to bring mild to heavy precipitation.

The district with heavy rain includes Chennai Thanjavur, Nagapattinam, Tiruvarur, Pudukottai, Kallakurichi, Salem, Tiruvannamalai.

The meteorological department released a warning for some Maharashtra districts between 3 and 7 October.

The meteorological agency also predicted very strong collisions over Himachal Pradesh, Panjab, Chandigarh, Haryan, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Delhi 6 and 7 October.
Isolated heavy rain/snow was also a forecast for Uttarakhand 6 and 7 October.
