Delhi NCR Rain Warning: Rainfall on Tuesday afternoon returned to the main parts of Delhi-NCR after a short break because the Indian meteorological department (IMD) issued a warning of heavy rain for national capital and surrounding areas.
The traffic police in Delhi also issued a warning of water in parts of Delhi and informed about the closure of an old iron bridge.
IMD edition of Orange Alert for Delhi, Gurogram, Noida
In her latest update, IMD issued an orange alert of Delhi, including northern Delhi, Nový Delhi, Central Delhi, South Delhi, Southeast Delhi, Northeast Delhi, Eastern Delhi and Shahdary, predicting mild to intense rains accompanied.
A yellow warning has been issued for western d and northwest d and southwestern d and the IMD predicts light of slight precipitation in these areas.
Orange warnings were issued for the gurrogram, while the IMD prognosis for mild to intense rains. IMD also issued an orange alert for Noid, predicted heavy rains and thunderstorms.
Ghaziabad and Faridabad also remain under IMD orange warning for rain.
Delhi Rains: Old Iron Bridge Closed, Delhi Police releases counseling
Transport and public movement near Loha Pul was stopped today until 17:00 after the Yamuna River exceeded 205.33 meters due to severe precipitation across the capital region (NCR).
In the joy of X, the traffic police in Delhi said that the old Loha half would be closed to other commands and advise the commuting to avoid this route.
On the Hanuman set, Bela Road (behind the red fortress) and on the eastern and western side of the old iron bridge, traffic diversions were introduced.
“The traffic will be diverted via Hanuman set, Raja Ram Kohli Marg and Geeta Colony Road. Motorists are asked to remain patient, follow the rules of transport and cooperate with traffic staff,” he said.
Vehicles from the ISBT Kashmirian Gate, Old Delhi railway station and Red Fort Side will be redirected via the Hanuman set on the outer circular road to the loop from Raja Ram Kohli Marg to Geet Colony Road. Rajghat and Shanti Van (via Bela Road) will be diverted from Bela Road T-Point on the Ring Road to Shanti Van Chowk to Ram Kohli Marg and finally Geet Colony Road.
From the northeast Delhi, including Shahdar, Seelampura and the Shastri Park, motorists will be diverted via Pushta Road to Raja Ram Kohli Marg and Ring Road, the police said.
Operation from Eastern Delhi, such as Akshardham, Mayur Vihar and Pandav Nagar, will be diverted from the overpass Colony Geet Colony to Geet Colony Road T-Point to Geet Colony overpass at Shanti van Chowk and Ring Road (MGM).
