Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Suppling and Severage Board (Hmws & SB) on Thursday (August 14, 2025) released a flood warning because it released more water from the Himayatsagar reservoir at the city edges. A similar warning was released a week ago when Himayatsagar and Osmansagar were close to the full level of tanks (FTL).
According to an update from the Council issued around 12.20 hours, nine gates were operated for a height of four feet to release 12,046 cusecs water. The tide was 20,000 cusecs.

The drain on Wednesday late at night was 1,927 CUSECS with three goals. The number of opened gates and drainage gradually increased with the advance on Thursday morning. At noon, the water level in the 1763,05 tank (2,6799 TMC) was against the full level of the tank (FTL) 1763,50 feet.
Meanwhile, Hussain Sagar of Hyderabad was on Thursday morning on Thursday morning at +513.30 m opposite FTL +513.41 m.
