The opposition leader at Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi claimed on Saturday that “Waqf Bill is attacking Muslims” and “determines a precedent that he targets other communities in the future”.
In a post on the microblogging site X shared a gandhi article that claimed that Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has now focused on the Catholic Church country after passing Waqf Bill.
“I said the WAQF law is now attacking Muslims, but in the future it sets a precedent to target other communities,” he wrote on X.
“It wasn’t long before RSS turned his attention to Christians,” Congress’s leader wrote with reference to the article.
“The constitution is the only shield that protects our people from such attacks – and it is our collective duty to prevent it,” wrote Rahul Gandhi.
The leader of the KC Venugopal Congress was too shared by another article that was directed to the Catholic Church, which overcame the WAQF Council in the land, and said, “As predicted, first focused on one minority, now on another.”
