
The 43 -year -old WankHede stadium manager was arrested for alleged theft of 261 Indian Premier League (IPL) jerseys worth RS 6.52 Lakh from the BCCI store, the police said on Tuesday.
The accusation of Farooque Aslam Khan, Mira Road resident, was arrested a few days ago and is now bail, the clerk said.

On 13 June, Khan reportedly stole the IPL 2025 jerseys from the official trade in Crikal Council in India at the South Mumbai stadium and sold many online.
Theft came out during the inventory audit. BCCI officials turned to the Marine Drive police station with a complaint about theft on July 17th.
Many jerseys were sold to the seller in Haryana, the probe found out.
During the investigation, the police received 50 jerseys from its ownership, said the official and added that another probe was taking place.
