The anniversary of the birth of Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar – who was born on June 4, 1884 and ruled from 1902 to 1940, will be a great matter and marked with a deep meaning.
This was stated by Deputy Commissioner G. Lakshmikanth Reddy at the preparatory meeting, which took place on Tuesday. He said the celebration will take place on June 4 in Kalamandira from 11:30 am and is expected to attend thousands of people.
The celebration will be marked by a procession and lots of events and all members of the community will participate in it. P. Shivaraju, another representative of the Commissioner, said this year’s Mysuro celebrations would be a state event, because Maharaja belonged to this region and contributed immensely to its overall development.
The district administration will lead this event in a way that the ideas and ideals of the Nalwadi are strengthened by the public in general, he added.
The authorities stated that the procession would start from the Temple of Venkataramanaswama in the palace and will be closed in Kalamandira, which is a place for the function of the stage. The procession will include a folk and cultural ensemble, while the portrait of Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar will be taken in a parade on a silver car.
According to the authorities, the mounted police and police group will be part of the procession to give the air procession.
The Kalamandira process route and premises will be extended by the municipality of Mysuro City Corporation.
The district administration attention was also alerted to the low -key celebrations in 2024 because a model code of behavior was introduced. Therefore, it was decided to make this event a great matter.
The Ursu community leaders urged Jayanti Jayanti’s Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar in all districts of the state, while children in schools should be educated about his contribution and progressive opinions. They also proposed to organize essay competitions at district and state levels about the life and contributions of Maharaja, whom Mahatma Gandhi described as Raja Rishi.
