Four accusations of Kalkata Law Student Gang-Ferrizations passed on Wednesday (July 23, 2024) tests in the city right-winging house to help balance their walking style with individuals who are in the CCTV shots obtained from college and its surrounding areas.
The police also faced the court’s issues about why the main accused, Monst Mishhra, was not detained before several complaints about harassment against him.
Four accused – Monovji Mishhra, Students Zaib Ahmed and Pray Mukherjee and Guardian Pinaki Banerjee – are currently in custody. On Tuesday, Alipore expanded another main court judge to his custody to 5th August. Four were in judicial custody from 8 July after their arrest 26 June.
The analysis of walking was carried out in the correction house Presidency in Calcutta. It is expected that the test that studies how a person walks or stands will help the police confirm the CCTV shots and create accusations against the accused.
During the hearing, the court raised concerns about police inactivity in the light of 12 waiting cases of harassment and riots against Misria, which allegedly emerged between 2023 and 2024. “What have you been doing since 2023?” The court asked and questioned the delay in the hearing.
Mishhra’s advisor informed the court that his client was forced to confess during the interrogation and lacked the basic facility inside the axle house.
Sourin Ghosal, Chief Prosecutor, said, “The indictment will be filed first and the government will go to justice.”
According to a student at South Calcutta Law College, where the incident occurred on June 25, Misra had a history of behavior and created on academic ground.
“He asked the student to sit on her lap. He also seriously injured a guy’s head with a trumpet,” one Hindu student said on condition of anonymity.
Misra, a former university student, worked there as a contractual employees. Students claimed that he had considerable influence on academic ground and had a word in the daily operation of the institution.
