Participants, including men and women of all age groups and children, participated in Walkathon, who passed the wooded trace of Chamundi Hills.
Mysuru, organized by Spoorthi, the female wing of the construction association in India (Bai), was marked on the foot of Chamundi Hills on Sunday at 6 am and was part of the monthly celebrations to raise the environment.
The participants reached the statue of Nandi and closed the way on the top of the hills.
Walking through nature gave participants “a great opportunity to connect with the environment”. Nature lovers participated in Walkathon and stated enthusiasm, the statement said.
Representative of Range Forest Officer Satish planted the tree and marked the conclusion of Walkathon. On this occasion, the President of the female wing of Bai’s Mysur Kavitha Gururaj, President Bai, Mysur, V. Srinath and Coordinator SPOORTHI Veena Ashok were present.
