Visvesvaraya Technology University (VTU) Belagavi announced the results of the final semester engineering exams in a record time of one hour on Friday.
Practical examinations for courses in the last year were closed around 17:30 and the results were announced until 18:30 on the same day. The results were sent to students through SMS.
Sharing details with Hindu, S. Vidyashankar, vice -chairman of the VTU, said: “Theoretical exams were closed on May 26 and practices began on 27. Previously, the students blamed the VTU for being irregular in the announcement of the results. But in the last three years the announcement of the results has been streamlined. “My goal was to announce the results every year on May 30 and keep them in the last three years. We were able to declare the results within two to three hours for the first two years. This time we set a record by announced it in an hour,” explained the vice -chairman.
There were more than 50,000 students in the last year and were all received during the academic year 2020-21. Will receive their titles in convening scheduled for July 4th.
These results are eliminated by autonomous universities because VTU will not perform exams for them.
