A national level workshop titled ‘R and AMOS Programming for Data Analysis and Visualization’ was launched on Monday (January 19, 2026) at the Vikrama Simhapuri University (VSU) campus in Kakatur, SPSR Nellore district. The Department of Tourism Management and Statistics organizes a weekly workshop with the financial support of PM–USHA (Pradhan Mantri Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan).
After the start of the event, VSU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Allam Srinivasa Rao: “In today’s digital era, data analysis and visualization skills have become essential in both research and industry. Gaining proficiency in modern software tools like R Programming and AMOS would enable students and researchers to compete internationally.”
Dr. K. Suneetha, Senior Registrar, VSU, said theoretical knowledge alone is not enough and strong technical skills are equally important in today’s job market. She added that such workshops help improve the analytical skills of researchers and students. During the first day of the program, keynote lectures were delivered by experts from renowned institutions.
