The youth of Madhya Pradesh claimed that the main priest of Ashram in Vrindavan sexually attacked him and later used a video of the incident to blackmail him, PTI informed about the police officer on Saturday.
Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) in Mathura ordered him to present a detailed report on the case.
According to a youth complaint, he was sexually attacked after mixing some narcotic substances in the “pig”, which was given the “Mahant” (the main priest). The incident allegedly happened on November 22, 2022, when the youth stayed in Ashram, PTI reported.
The youth also claimed that he was threatened by a video of the law and when he protested, he was beaten. He said he managed to escape from Ashram and went to his house.
The youth initially turned to the representatives of the General Police Inspector, Agra Range, who sent him to meet the head of the police (SSP), Mathura, with instructions to take appropriate steps.
SSP ordered the officer Circle (Sadar) Sandeep Kumar Singh to explore the matter and present a message.
The officer said that the accusation of the youth against Mahant was very serious. But as the alleged incident occurred almost three years ago, the matter is first investigated, he added.
