Voice actor James Carter Cathcart, known for his work on the series “Pokémon”, died after the fight against neck cancer. He was 71 years old.
He died on Tuesday, July 8, while TMZ reported in Hospice care in Forest Hills in New York.
James Cathcart was diagnosed with neck cancer in 2023. However, initial treatment was not shown as effective and needed aggressive chemotherapy.
A renowned voice artist left the voice play after completing his work on the English oak “Pokémon: Ultimate Journeys”.

While James is mainly known for his work in the Pokémon series, he was also a voice behind the crocodile vector in “Sonic X” and the “Shadow the Hedgehog” video game according to TMZ.

Pokémon fans were broken after the collapse of the news of the death of James Carter Cathcart.
One person who responded to Eric Schroeder’s post wrote: “That’s really sad news – as talented as he was kind, dear, gentleman – our family of Pokémon is shrinking again. Rest in peace, James.”

Most fans referred to the death of Rachael Lillis – an artist behind the voice of Mista in Pokémon.
