Corporators and VMC employees were informed by the main commissioner of Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagar Palike Tushar Girinath in Bengalur.
Corporators from Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC), currently on a two -week study tour in Keral, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, visited Bengalur on Tuesday to study Bruhhat Bengalur Mahanagara).
The main commissioner of BBMP Tushar Girinath welcomed them in the integrated command and control rooms and informed them about development efforts, key challenges and administrative settings. He said that BBMP’s main challenges include waste management, roads, street lighting and lake protection.
Pangirinath explained to VMC corporators about a project to prevent water stagnation during rainy. As part of the K100 initiative, rainwater is naturally treated using aquatic plants to help clean water. He said that the 11 km of the project has been completed so far. He also talked about laying white top roads, which are designed to last 25 to 30 years with minimal maintenance.
Within the city climatic action plan, Bengalur with a population of 1.41 crore across eight zones focuses on environmental protection, lake restoration and sustainable development, he added.
Later, the VMC Venkata Satyanaayana floor leader, who oversees tour, reported BBMP officials about development initiatives and public services carried out by VMC in the city. Corporators also visited KR Road and traveled on the site of the K100 project in Shanti Nagar. Mr. Satyanarayana expressed gratitude to the main commissioner named VMC for the knowledge.
