VIZIANAGARAM:
The Telugu Desam Party (TP), which wants to regain its strength in the Vizianagaram Municipal Corporation, is focusing on party activities at the level of all 50 divisions for which new party committees have been appointed recently.
The party won only one division out of 50 divisions in the 2019 local body elections and hopes to register a decent victory in the upcoming municipal elections.
At the call of Chief Minister and TDP National President N. Chandrababu Naidu, MLA Aditi Vijaya Lakshmi visited all the divisions to highlight the achievements of the NDA government in the last one year. Along with party leaders, she distributed pamphlets printed in the name of Suparipalanalo Toliadugu’ which detailed the development activities in the Vizianagaram constituency in the last one year.
The key events highlighted in the brochures are — construction of new substations at Sonia Nagar, Venugopalapuram, setting up of additional transformers, feeders, improvement of road network, railway underpass at depot and repairs of welfare hostels.
Speaking to the media, Ms. Aditi Vijaya Lakshmi exuded confidence that the people would bless the TDP in the upcoming local body elections as they were not happy with the YSRCP administration in the corporation for the last five years.
She said, “People have observed the effective administration of Mr. Naidu’s government which has secured investments worth ₹13 crore for the state including North Andhra district. Vizianagaram constituency is benefiting from this development. These factors will make the voters bless the TDP in the elections whenever they are held.”
