As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, VIT-AP University has extended a financial support of ₹ 47,000 for the construction of a new Public Grievance System (PGRS) Building and Mini Conference Hall at Guntur District Police Office. Founder and Chancellor of VIT Educational Institutions G. Viswanathan inaugurated the new buildings on Thursday (March 26, 2026) in the presence of District Superintendent of Police Vakul Jindal and other officials.
In a speech at this event, Mr. Jindal highlighted the contribution of Dr. Viswanathana to education and appreciated VIT institutions for providing quality education at national level.
The SP said the new facility will address the long-standing need of the complainants who earlier had to wait under tents or trees due to lack of proper infrastructure. “The new facility will allow visitors to file complaints in a convenient and organized environment,” he said. The mini conference room, he said, would improve media interaction by providing better seating and briefing space.
