The edition said the official also reviewed the continuing expansion of NCC activities in North Kerala, with a special focus on the rural reach of the countryside, including increasing the new battalion in Kasaragod to suit the growing demand for coverage in the region. Currently, 5,000 cadets are registered from 50 institutions in the Kannur district. Brigadier Mr. Subodh, commander of the NCC Group Kozhikode and other higher officials were present. As part of his visit, Mr. Singh also communicated with the commander of the Center for Defense Security in Kannara to strengthen the synergy between the Indian army and the NCC, especially in training and resource sharing. In the coming days he would visit other districts in the region.
