
In March 2025, the port of Vishinjam efficiently managed 1.08 Lakh Teus from 51 vessels, underlines its operating perfection
When the first financial year closed, Vishinjam International Seaport scripted a scale in his ability to handle a record volume of 4.92 Lakh twenty feet of equivalent units (Teus) containers by facilitating anchoring 240 ships in less than nine months.
The marine port set another record by processing over 1 lakh containers in a single month and reached this milestone just four months after commercial operations in December 2024. In March 2025, only the port effectively managed 1.08 Lakh Teus from 51 ships. Success is attributed to the strategic deployment of advanced technologies and careful planning Adani Vishinjam Port, allowing quick scalability and reliability, the Minister of Harbor VN Vasavan said.
The trial operations started in July 2024, followed by commercial services in December 2024. Second and third phases
