Visakhapatnam Police won the overall championship in the Andhra Pradesh Sports Meet-2026

The Visakhapatnam Police bagged the overall champion award at the Andhra Pradesh State Police Sports and Games Meet – 2026, which concluded on Friday (September 4, 2026). The meeting was attended by about 1,900 police officers from various branches and units. EAGLE Police secured 40 medals in various events.

Speaking on the occasion, Director General of Police (DGP) Harish Kumar Gupta said that steps would be taken to establish a Police Sports Academy in the state. The DGP congratulated the winners and appreciated the large participation of women. IGP (Sports) KV Mohana Rao and senior police officers attended the valedictory program of the sports meet.
