Visakha Steel General Hospital (VSGH) celebrated its 34th Formation Day at VSGH, Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited, in Visakhapatnam on Saturday (December 27, 2025). VSGH is a 160-bed hospital serving the employees of the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant and their families.
RINL, Director (Commercial), GVN Prasad graced the occasion as the Chief Guest while Dr. CV Rao, Interventional Cardiologist, CARE Hospital, Visakhapatnam, attended as guest of honour.
Dr. JN Sarangi, GM (M&HS), welcomed the meeting and highlighted the recent initiatives to strengthen medical services and modernize hospital infrastructure. He thanked the doctors, medical staff, medical administration and outsourcing staff for their dedicated services.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Prasad appreciated the comprehensive health services provided by VSGH. He praised the hospital for organizing regular health awareness sessions and medical camps. He emphasized the importance of preventive health care and wished the entire VSGH team all the best.
Gold medal Dr. Kuppachi Krishna Murthy for the best doctor was awarded Dr. Ravishankar A. Rao, DGM Medical, VSGH and Y. Lakshmi Prabhakar Gold Medal for Best Nurse was awarded to P. Rajeswari, Assistant Nursing Manager, VSGH.
On this occasion, Dr. CV Rao gave a talk titled “Predict, Prevent and Protect against ASCVD (Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease)”. Prizes were awarded to the winners of various competitions held in connection with the Formation Day celebrations. The event was attended by doctors, specialists, non-medical staff, medical administration and outsourcing staff.
