The fourth edition of Junior Lit Fest Visag, organized by Lit Lantern Culture and Literature Society, will take place on 8 and 9 November in Hawa Mahal. The festival, which was conceived as a platform where young minds are engaged in literature and creative expression, promises a wider canvas of ideas and participation. With 20 speakers and one theater group, up to 102 sessions representing authors, illustrators, cartoonists and life skills coaches will be able to communicate with children and parents through workshops and discussions. Registration for a paid session begins 11 October, with the entries open from 10:00 in Tanishq on VIP Road, Pages Book Store and Book Magic Library. The organizers say they expect strong participation from schools and families throughout the city, reflecting the growing interest of young readers and teachers in meaningful literary engagement.

Among the participants of this year are Abhishek Talwar, Asha Nehemiah, Shobha Tharoor Srinivasan, Ajit Narayan, Ameen Haque, Ankit Dwivedi, Devika Cariapa, Vikram Sridhar, Jyoti Pande and Vaisali Shroff. The focus of the upcoming edition is beyond reading and writing to include the development of personality, improvement of skills and topics that deeply resonate with children and young adults. Discussions about the positivity of the body, mindfulness, well -being and leadership will be in the center of attention, along with the relations that draw on real stories about courage and change. This year, the festival also presents the element of narration of the Dipna Daryanani narration, which includes movement into the narrative, designed to help children experience and express stories through performance and rhythm. The organizers structured sessions to address different age groups and level of engagement. There will be interactive workshops with writers and illustrators that examine how stories are formed and how characters come to life. Life skills coaches will perform sessions that mix literature with self -confidence and encourage participants to look inside while learning to express confidently.

The festival also includes sitting for adults who accompany their young readers. Workshops about narration and peas, interviews about the transformation of passive social media to go through into active creativity and discussion about building habits and careers in creative sectors are among the highlights. There will be sessions of self-collection and developing landscape of creative work for aspiring writers, teachers and parents who want to educate the environment of curiosity at home. This year’s expected performances include the sound of music and Shakespeare’s The Tempest, introduced by Helen O’Grady of Bombai.
