According to the report, foreign students in the United States were asked for their own reports due to the activism of the campus in communication from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (DOS). In addition to students who have physically participated in the activism of the campus in the past, even those who shared or liked “anti-national” posts, received these e-mail communications, the report said.
Some Indian students can also be among the hundreds that these e -mails receive for acts such as sharing a social media post, The Times of India reported and quoted immigration lawyers.
According to the report, the procedure is based on social media reviews performed by American DOS. Even new student applications, whether it be F (academic study visa), M (VISA professional studies) or J (exchange visa), will also get under such social media control. Applicants will be denied the opportunity to study in the United States, the report said.
According to the latest Open Report, there are 1.1 million foreign students in the US, of which 3.31 Lakh is Indians.
What does e -mail say?
“On behalf of the United States Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Office for Consular Affairs hereby informs you that further information has been available after the visa is released.
“The Office for the Consular Affairs Office has pointed out the immigration and recovery of the Ministry of Internal Security, which manages the program of visitors to exchange students and is responsible for the proceedings. They can inform your designated school clerk about the cancellation of your F-1 visa,” he reads.
The e-mail also asked the students to record the CBP Home, which US President Donald Trump launched March 10.
“Given the severity of this situation, individuals whose visa has been canceled may want to prove their intention to leave the United States using CBP Home,” she read.
“Visa not by birth”
E -mail said that students can also be eligible for a future American visa. “Please note that deportation may take place at a time that the person is deported to ensure property or to close matters in the United States. Persons deported can be sent to countries other than their country of origin,” she read that if deported students want to return to America in the future.
“As soon as you go to the United States, you must personally present a passport at the US embassy or consulate that has issued your visa to make your visa physically canceled. You must not try to use your visa as canceled,” she read.
E-mail communication with students comes after the recent announcement of US Foreign Minister Marco Rubio to cancel the visas of several international students for so-called anti-anticipation activities.
“It could be more than 300 at this point. We do it every day. Every time I find one of these madmen, I take their visas … Every country in the world has the right to decide who comes as a visitor and who doesn’t,” Rubio said at a Guyana press conference early this week.
Rubio’s Office has recently launched an application powered by artificial intelligence “Catch and Remoke” to find out and cancel the visas of students who found Hamas support or other designated terrorist organizations.
Rubio also stressed that the US visa was not “birth” and people who found to violate the visit conditions would have to leave.
“I don’t know when we have it in our head that the visa is some kind of firstborn. It is not,” said US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on CBS News Face The Nation Show.
India advises students to adhere to US law
At the beginning of this month, the Union’s government urged Indian students studying in the US to comply with US laws after the research worker’s arrest and the appeal of another student who had to be put into Canada.
Badar Khan Suri and Ranjani Srinivasan have not reached Indian embassies in the US, said Randhir Jaiswal, spokesman for the Ministry of External Affairs, he said.
While Badar Khan Suri, an Indian researcher at the American Georgetown University, was arrested, Ranjani Srinivasan, an Indian student at Columbia University, deported to Canada after Trump’s administration canceled her visa with reference to security concerns.
What is “self -knowledge”?
The US Department of Internal Security launched CBP Home on March 10 amidtrump administration intensified interventions against illegal immigrants. The application contains the possibility of self -evidence, through which non -documented immigrants can declare their intention to leave the United States.
Every country in the world has the right to decide who comes as a visitor and who doesn’t.
According to the US Customs and Border Protection website, CBP Home is a mobile application that you can download for free from Apple App or Google Play Store. It allows access to several services and comes with the possibility of “Intent to On”.
“Foreigners can now inform the United States about their intention,” says the website. In addition, you can also check the estimated waiting times at the border and ask for the Provisional I-94 before arriving via CBP Home.
