What is the Royal Family scandal?
Virginia Giuffre claimed that she was sexually abused or raped by Prince Andrew on three separate occasions in 2001 when she was 17 years old. She sued him for unspecified damage.
The case was settled by a prince, who allegedly paid more than 12 million GBP with money from Queen Elizabeth.
The conditions of the agreement remained secret, but at the time the Duke expressed regret of his friendship with Epstein and confirmed that he would give “substantial donations” the charity of Virginia to support the rights of victims. It did not contain any responsibility and apology.
The Duke always vehemently denied the accusation and insisted that he had no “memory” of the meeting with Virginia, which Epstein traded.
Despite his consistent denial, he was deprived of his military titles and asked to resign as a working royal.
