
New Delhi: Former India Swashbuckling Dough Vierender Sehwag has joined the growing choir of national voices in clapping the Indian armed forces for their accurate and bold “operation of the sindoor”.Sehwag, known for his sharp joke, responded to Sindoor surgery with a powerful and patriotic message to his description of social media. “AGAR KOI AAP PARTHAR FENKE TO USPAR PHOOL FENO, LEKIN GAMLE K SAATH.JAI HIND #operationsindoor, what name apt,” wrote Sehwag. The Sindoor operation was launched in the early morning hours of May 7 in retaliation for a recent terrorist attack by Pahalgam, which killed 26 innocent civilians.Indian Air Force hit nine terrorist launchpads across Pakistan and Pakistan occupied by cashmere and focused on infrastructure associated with prohibited groups such as Jaish-E-Mohammed and Lashkar-E-Taba.It is important that the operation was performed without violating the Pakistani air space, introducing strategic accuracy and restrictions.Several former and contemporary Indian crickets expressed their solidarity. Gautam Gambhir, Aakash Chopra, Harbhajan Singh, Suresh Raina and Jhulan Goswami published strong news supporting military reaction.Harbhajan wrote: “#operationsindoor is Bharat’s reaction to the brutal killing of our innocent brothers in Pahalgam. Jai Hind.”Varun Chakravarthy, currently active in IPL with Kalkata Knight Riders, also shared the official image of the operation on his instagram story.Former Pacer Chetan Sharma emphasized the symbolic nature of the strike and called it more than retaliation: “As far as security is concerned, India does not avoid. #Operationsindoor – no answer but message.”According to defensive officials, the goals were carefully selected on the basis of intelligence inputs and excluded without damaging civilians or Pakistani military infrastructure, strengthening the Indian policy of targeted and responsible counterterrorism.
