Virat Kohli explained why he decided to withdraw from the T20i format after winning India last year. Kohli was the star of the final against South Africa, scoring 76 out of 59 balls when India won at the end of 7 runs.
After the match was finished, Kohli, along with Rohit Shamou, decided to leave the T20i format. Star Batter spoke of his decision on the last episode of the RCB podcast and said he called to step aside to allow a new set of players to come and enjoy a two -year cycle before the World Cup.
“I don’t think things change in any way for me. The decision (to leave the T20i) has been purely understood that there is a new set of players who are more than ready and need time, need a 2 -year cycle to evolve, play in different parts of the world and play enough games.
Kohli played a total of 125 T20i for India and during this time he scored 4188 runs on average 48.69.

Love from RCB fans bigger than silver
Kohli and RCB have been waiting for the IPL title for 18 years, and the star dough has been asked if he ever thought he would move from the franchise. The star dough said that the love he received from the fans was greater than any silver or trophy.
“The love I received from fans do not think that no silver or trophy could approach it,” Kohli said.
RCB had a great season in IPL 2025 so far, because it is closer to the place in Play -off. RCB has won seven out of 10 matches in the league, with 443 runs scored during this time.
