Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma created a new record for India as the pair took part in their 392nd international match together when they took the field for the Ranchi ODI. This meant that the famous Ro-Ko duo went past Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid who played 391 games together.
Kohli and Rohit were returning to the Indian team after a month’s break after touring Australia for the ODI series, where they played all three matches. Kohli twice found himself on the list of Indian pairs with the most international caps as he also played 309 matches alongside Ravindra Jadeja, who is part of the squad for the Ranchi ODI.

KOHLI GOES THROUGH KALLIS
Kohli entered the game as India’s third-highest run-getter against South Africa in the ODI and needed 32 runs to get past the Proteas legend. The star batsman joined Rohit with India in trouble at 25 for one when Yashavi Jaiswal departed for 18 runs. Kohli and Rohit were quick to take matters into their own hands and did not allow South Africa to take over.
Kohli started in rotation but started to get into his groove with a direct drive to Nandre Burger. He would continue to punish the Proteas bowlers and broke the record held by Kallis with a boundary.
