Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar paid an emotional tribute to Virt Kohli after the latter named his retirement from the test cricket. On Monday, May 12, 36 -year -old Kohli shared a post on Instagram and marked the end of his 14 -year career.
Tendulkar was thinking about the sincere moment with Kohli and remembered how, during his last test match against West India 12 years ago at the Wankhede stadium in Mumbai, the young Kohli offered him a thread from his late father who died when Kohli was in his teenagers.
Tendulkar, who is in the test cricket in the test cricket of all time, appreciated Kohli for building a legacy that inspires young crickets to chase his dreams.
“When you leave the tests, I remember your thoughtful gesture 12 years ago, during my last test. You offered me to give me a thread from your late father. It was something too personal for me, but the gesture was cordial and seemed to me since then.
“Your real heritage, virat, is inspired by countless young crickets to pick up sports.”
“What an incredible test career did you have! You gave an Indian cricket much more than just running – you gave her a new generation of passionate fans and players.”
“Congratulations on a very special test career,” Tendulkar added.
If you leave the tests, it reminds me of your sophisticated gesture 12 years ago, during my last test. You offered me to give me a thread from your deceased father. It was something too personal to accept it, but the gesture was cordial and has remained with me since. While I pic.twitter.com/javzvxg0mq– Sachin Tendulkar (@sachin_rt) 12 May 2025
