County Side Middlesx confirmed his interest in signing Virt Kohli after the Indian star announced her departure from the test cricket. Kohli decided to leave the tests of 12 May and reduced the curtains for a famous career. A 36 -year -old player played 123 tests for India and scored 9230 runs, of which 30 hundreds and 31 1950s.
Kohli issued on 12 May a lengthy statement He announced his decision to leave the Indian test team, but there was no comment on his first -class career. Alan Coleman, director of Criket in Middlesex, spoke with Guardian and confirmed the interest of the regional party that Kohli had in his ranks. Coleman described Kohl as the most famous player of his generation and admitted that Middlesx would like to open interviews with the Indian star about the possible stint in the regional championship.
“Virat Kohli is the most famous player of his generation, so of course we are interested in this conversation,” Coleman said.
Middlesex plays his home games on Lord’s cricket country and uses them as a move to sign some of the largest names in the world cricket. Previously, Kohli’s former teammate RCB and South African legend AB de Villiers played in 2019 in T20 Blast. In the second half of the current season, Kane Williamson also played for them. Both shops came in cooperation with MCC and officials indicated Guardian that they would be willing to divide the costs of signing Kohli.
While Kohli does not have to be able to play T20 blast and one hundred because it has become closed on BCCI, it can play at the regional championship or in the metro cup, if it signs for Middlesx. If Kohli concludes an agreement with Middlesex, it would mean that he could create a partnership with a middle order dream with Kane Williamson and we could see him renew his rivalry with James Anderson, Who is still strong for Lancashire.
Middlesex will face Lancashire in Old Trafford during a block of matches in mid -summer. Kohli signed Surrey in 2018 in front of England Tour, but his neck injury excluded him from any appearance.
