The legendary fast pitch James Anderson looked back at his experience with bowling to the two largest Indian dough-virat Kohli and Sachin Tendulkar-decorating the various challenges that everyone represented. Anderson noted that while he had in premature success against Kohl during the dough Mareční tour of England, Kohli gradually rejected in the following series.
Anderson, whose test career continued from 2003 to 2024, bowed to Tendulkar and Kohli at various stages. It is remarkable that Anderson holds the record for the release of both players most in his respective test career.
Between 2012 and 2022, Anderson rejected Kohli seven times in 25 matches. Against Tendulkař, Maestr’s goal nine times in 14 matches, nine times in 14 times.
Kohli fought during the 2014 series in England and recorded only 134 runs in five tests, and Anderson released him four times. After this tour, however, Anderson managed to refuse Kohl in the rest of his career. This was during this 2014 series that Kohli’s vulnerability against a moving ball outside the stump was first exposed – a weakness that Anderson had expertly exploited.
“I had a success against Kohl when he first came to England (2014). I really took advantage of his weakness outside the stump and then, the next time (2018), apparently left and worked – it was like bowling to another player,” Anderson The Talksport Podcast.
“Kohli it made a lot more difficult”
The 42 -year -old Pacer, who now plays the cricket of the regional championship after leaving the tests in 2024, explained that, unlike Tendulkar, he witnessed a clear shift in the balance of power in his Kohli competitions.
“He really took the real game to another level. He did it very difficult, not only for me, but generally for the pitch. I think I got it four or five times in the first series, and then I didn’t get it in the next series.
“For example, I did not feel like Sachin as if there was such a shift in dominance. He certainly existed with Kohli, and I found him a really difficult player to get because he also had the gloomy thinking.”
England will take over India in a test series of five matches From June 20 to August 5 in the era of Anderson. The series led by Shaubman Gill on the Indian side will also not be a virat Kohli, who left the test cricket in May.
