
VIRAT KOHLI (PIC CREDIT: IPL) New Delhi: On Sunday, Virt Kohli echoed his name in cricket history by becoming the first Indian to reach 100 half shots in the T20 cricket. Star Royal Challengers Bengalur (RCB) reached a milestone during her undefeated knocking at 62 out of 45 balls against Rajasthan Royals at the Sawai Mansingh stadium in Jaipur.
This was identified by Kohli’s third fifty of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season and took its total sum in the 100 fifties and 9 hundred in 405 T20 matches. Now it sits second in the list of most half -centuries T20, for only Australian David Warner, which has 108 fifties and 8 centuries from 400 games.

Kohli raised his landmark in style and in the 15th place of the run chased Waninda Hasarang over the ropes.
Kohli persecuted 174, led from the front and sewed the blister 92-Run’s opening partnership with Phil Salt, who broke 65 out of only 33 balls. He then shared the undefeated 83-Region stand with Devdutt Padikkal (40 out of 28) and led the RCB to pounding the nine goal with the remaining 15 balls.
Previously, Rajasthan Royals published a competing 173/4, built on Yashasvi Jaiswal’s Fluent 75 of 47 deliveries. However, their total number proved to be insufficient against the tireless highest order of RCB.
With this milestone Kohli not only reaffirmed his status of modern legends, but also showed his permanent class in the format. Pakistani Babar Azam (90’s 1950s), Chris Gayle (88) and Jos Buttle (86) follow Kohli on the Elite T20 list fifty creators.
