“And now the end is close. So I’m facing the last curtain. My friend, I’ll say it clearly.
As Frank Sinatra played this song on Instagram on Monday, May 12, while Virt Kohli performed in the famous white jersey of the Indian cricket team, finally it occurred. For India, he will no longer have another Kohli in the longest game format. When the news broke for the first time that BCCi said he wanted to leave the tests, many could not believe that this would happen.
India has just recovered from retirement Rohit Sharma, which together with Kohli had been Batman and Superman of the Indian cricket for a very long time. They were protectors not only the badge for which they played, but the people around them in the team.
In the last few years, everyone has looked at Kohli’s career and felt it was time to resign from the tests. Problems outside the stump were explored, dissected and star dough was even trolls for it several times. And we even rocked, just waiting for it to happen.
For many, their hero was just in his last section and great superpower he once died. They wanted it to end, and now that it finally arrived, people try to deal with it.
Today, when the curtain descended to the career of one of the biggest entertainers of the test cricket, we only celebrate the career that Kohli created in the only way he knew how to play.
A boy who wanted to be Sachin Tendulkar
“Madam, I’ll be another Sachin Tendulkar of the Indian team” was often a repeated quote. Yes, at that time, we sometimes made us smile on mere gravel and the confidence of a wide -nails boy.
That was the words of Kohli’s school teacher who told everyone that the star dough disintegrated like his idol.
So did Sachin tendulkar become another Sachin? Well, this applies to the debate and people can agree or disagree. But what Kohli did with his launch was sensational. Right from his debut in West India to the first hundreds in Australia, which led a lonely battle, Kohli showed why he was another superstar.
Kohli scored 30 hundreds and 31 1950s on average 46.85 and in 123 matches recorded 9 230 runs. This included seven double hundreds, the most Indian batter. He is in the fourth place in terms of hundreds of scores in Indian batter tests, a list that leads a great tendulkar.
Now, if you are considered another main Blaster, the biggest criterion you need to check is running against Australia in Australia. In 18 matches, Kohli scored 1,542 runs on average 46.73. This included 7 hundred, one more than Tendulkar in Australia.
He wanted to be another tendulkar, and we can probably say that he was close to the replication of his idol in the tests.
Captain Rock N Roll
Mrs. Dhoni was a man Kohli, who managed to be an Indian test of the test. We all know how Dhoni was. Calm personified. He was like the ghazal you would listen to, just calming down a little and just melting in the melody.
And what was the virat kohli like a captain? Just pure rock and roll. The energy was high. As a captain, if you want to compare it to a song, a song you would listen to when you are in a gym or if you just want your adrenaline to draw.
Kohli, as a captain, changed the way India played a test cricket. Gone were the days when they were considered nice, classic boys cricket in white. India became a team that was there and was looking for victory. And if you dared try to intimidate them, you would get the treatment ten times.
Just ask Ollie Robinson. In England Kohli gathered his troops to go to the English pitch, and the fired Siraj let him dance to his melodies. It is a clip that, if you still see, certainly gives you goose bumps.
And Kohli had a record to back up. 68 tests such as captain, 40 wins and 11 draws. This makes the best Indian test captain when with a percentage of 58.82.
But they are not statistics that the 36 -year -old will remember. It was the attitude and mentality that he gave the team – that they would not be submitted by any challenge or no opponent, whether at home or away.
This led to the dominance period for India in tests, where they made unthinkable and went to Australia and shot down the powerful Aussies to win the test series.
Kohli did things
If you look at Kohli’s test career as a player, the things that stand out is how he went about his work in his own way. He had many people to try to imitate, right from Tendulkar, and rhuluzluvid like dough and interrav gangules and Mrs. Dhoni when the captain occurred.
Yet he believed in his own way and supported it. In his stroke play, there was a class and elegance and defiance that would make teams look for answers and ask for happiness to get in their way.
His methods were his own and some may feel that it eventually led to his struggle. But with Kohl, that’s what you get. There was always a bit of arrogance, and he had all the tools that supported his confidence in the field.
Since the Over-the-Top celebrations in the autumn, after putting an arm around the young pitch and giving him confidence, it was how Kohli played a test cricket and never retreated from him.
And we go to Sinatra and for the last few lines of his song, which Kohli used in his post.
“I loved, I laughed and cried. I had my filling, my share of loss. And now, as tears are retreating. I consider it so funny. I thought I did it all. And I can say not, not shy. No, no, no.”
“For what a person is, what does he have? If not alone, then he didn’t tell him.
And No. 269 signed from the longest format of the game to take its justified place among the legends of the game in a way. The only way he knew how to play the game.
