VIRAT KOHLI (PIC CREDIT: IPL) New Delhi: Virat Kohli reached his name in record books again during the collision of Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) IPL 2025 against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at Ma Chidambaram on Friday.
Although Kohli tried to accelerate, his 31 Knock off 30 ball saw him overcome Shikhar Dhawan to become the highest running Getter against CSK in the history of IPL.

With these shifts, Kohli reached the total of CSK 1,084 runs, which overtaken Dhawan’s previous record 1,057 runs. Kohli took 33 shifts in 34 matches to achieve a milestone while Dhawan set a record in 29 shifts. Both remain the only doughs that exceeded the brand of 1,000 run against CSK in IPL.
The highest score of Kohli against CSK remains unsurpassed 90 and registered nine half missiles against them. These runs accumulated an average of 37.37 and a strike rate of 125.46. Dhawan’s sum, on the other hand, includes century (101*) and the 1950s.
Rohit Sharma follows third with 896 runs in 35 matches, while Dinesh Karthik (727 runs in 33 matches) and David Warner (696 runs in 21 matches) are completing the first five list.
