
New Delhi: Virat Kohli found himself in the center of criticism after an unfortunate range concerning Rajat Patidar during the Delhi Capitals (DC) vs Royal Challengers Bengalur (RCB) in IPL 2025.
The incident occurred in the fourth via RCB shifts, when Kohli crushed Mukesh Kumar towards the middle goal. Patidar, eager to steal a quick single, immediately replied, but Kohli was sent too late.

Patidar had to go back to 6 escapes out of 6 balls and the fans were quickly accused of Kohli for confusion. Social media platforms were flooded with memes and angry reactions and baked Kohli for costly mixing.
At this point, the RCB score was disturbing 26/3 after 4 breaks, and Kohli launched to 8 out of 10 balls. Additional pressure on RCB shifts that have already fluctuated.
After the finish, Kohli faced criticism online and fans blamed him for unfortunate release.
