UTTAR PRADESH: In a shocking incident captured on the camera, the man tried to slap former Minister Uttar Pradesh and former leader of Samajwadi Swami Prasad Muurya during the public assembly in Fatehpur.
What happened to Saras Crossing?
The incident developed on Wednesday, when Swami Prasad Muurya, now Lok Morcha, stopped at a short welcome ceremony organized by his supporters at Saras Crossing.
When Swami Prasad Muurya got off to greeted the crowd, the man pretended to offer a wreath that suddenly threw himself and slapped him from behind.
The attacker was quickly overwhelmed by Muurya supporters who hit him in the place before the police hit. The video of the attack soon became viral on social media.
Who is behind the attack?
Police Uttar Pradesh claims that two individuals were detained in connection with the incident. “There were two people in the crowd of supporters who held garlands who were hard to behave with the minister,” said officer Circle (Sadar) Amit Singh PTI, adding that the accused were questioned.
The initial report of the PTI news agency suggests that the attacker is associated with Karni hay.
What did Muurya say?
Murya strongly responded to the attack and accused Karni hay of operation with impunity under the protection of the BJP leader and the government of CM Yogi Adityanath led by Uttar Pradesh.
“It shows what kind of sponsorship of Karni hay gets from those who are in power,” he said. “Several insects of this clothing repeatedly step on the law. Since they belong to the same community as the main minister, the negotiations are rarely accepted.”
Prasad Muurya warned that if such attacks could occur in front of police officers, injustice in their absence would be unimaginable.
Is it a sign of things that will come?
The former leader of the opposition in the Legislative Assembly of Uttar Pradesh did not stop criticizing Karni hay. He used this moment to start an aggressive political message and said Lok Morcha would attack the elections to the assembly of 2027 with the slogan “BJP HATAO, UP Bachao” (to remove BJP, save).
