
Kerala forest officer is widely praised online after a video about the rescue of the 16-stop king Cobra became a viral. The dramatic rescue, captured on the camera, shows calmly to defeat the forest officer GS Roshni and skillfully captures the poisonous snake from the stream, which the locals are often used for bathing.
The video shared by the Indian forest service in Susant Nanda emphasizes the courage and accuracy of the officer when using the snake stick to safely lift and move Cobra to the wooded area.
“My greetings for green Queens and bravery that show in the wild,” Nanda wrote. “This was her first manipulation with King Cobra, even though she saved more than 800 snakes in her career.”
GS Roshni, part of the Fast Response Team in Kerala from the Paruthari series, responded to a warning from the inhabitants who saw a snake near the stream. Although her first manipulation with King Cobra – the longest poisonous snake in the world – succeeded in rescue with remarkable peace.
According to PTI, Roshni has been with a forest department in Kerala for almost eight years and has saved hundreds of poisonous and inconsistent snakes throughout the state.

The video hit the Akord Online, with many social media users appreciated Roshni’s courage and professionalism.
“Brave, qualified and calm under pressure. Greeting to Roshni and the whole team of quick reaction,” one user wrote. Another commented: “It is unfortunate that such bravery often did not notice in India compared to abroad, where such acts could earn extensive recognition and incentives. Forest officer GS Roshni’s rescue 16-foot King Cobra is an example of underestimated heroism.
The clip also ruled the recognition of women working in high-risk roles in forest services-timely in distant and demanding conditions.
Roshni was part of a five -member team that responded to an emergency call. After the snake was safely captured, it released it deep into the forest, far from the human dwelling.
