What happens in Devdas?
Devdas, a rich young man, falls in love with his childhood friend Paro, but the social differences and disagreement of his family keep them separate. Heartbroken, Paro is married to an older aristocrat, while Devdas Spirals to self -destruction with alcohol and companion Courtesan Chandramukhi.
Despite the true love of Chandramukhi, Devdas remains lost in Paro’s memory. As his health deteriorates, he last travels to see paro, but dies outside her headquarters before he gets to him.

Indian batch on the social media loved Katie’s review because her viral video in just two days accumulated 256k views. Netizens claimed that it “spilled the facts” and suggested that instead of watching the anurag Kashyap Dev D for the fresher view of Devdas.
“Our girl Chandramukhi has gone through the situation before it was a thing,” the social media user said.
Some of Netizens claimed that the time at the end of the 90s was “toxic men”.
“It’s a toxic romantic Bollywood from the 90s that revolves around men,” the user said.

However, a social media user shared a “entertaining anecdote” about the original novel Devas and said, “The author of the SHARAT Chandra Chattapopathyay novel, hated the novel himself.”
“As far as I remember correctly, he wrote in a letter to a friend that he never thought Debdas to gain as much popularity as that. And honestly as a fan of his writings, Debdas is probably his worst book and not written many bad stories,” the user said.
