The divisional bench of the High Court in Calcutta on Thursday (May 15, 2025) published a petition claiming that the police chased the family of a man and his son, who were killed in the municipal violence, which in April swung the district of Murshidabad.
The bench, chaired by the judiciary of the Sen, published the matter because there is a designated bench for hearing related to police inactivity and exaggerated.

The only bench of the High Court previously published a petition because the division’s bench has already been hearing issues related to incidents in Murshidabad and current petitioners were reportedly victims of violence in the district.
The matter will be sent back to the main judge of the Supreme Court to assign a new bench to hear.
Damaged by the alleged conduct of the Bidhannagar Police Commission, Widws the victims of Haragobinda Das and Chandan moved the High Court.
Haragobinda Das and his son Chandan were reportedly penetrated by rebellions in SamSerganj in the Murshidabad district of April 12 during protests over the WAQF law (amendment).
Before the only bench of justice Tirthankar Ghosh, it was stated that their family members came to Salt Lake and stayed in the house in order to submit a petition before the High Court.
Their lawyer stated in court that the door of the house was broken and abuse was thrown into family members of the deceased father and son by the staff of the police commissioner Bidhannagar.
