Vijayawada MP Kesineni Sivanath and Gudivada MLA Venigandla Ramu on Friday started the distribution of new Pattadar passbooks with the official state emblem and land ownership documents to farmers in Siddhantam village of Gudivada Assembly constituency as part of the resurvey project.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Sivanath said that the TDP-led coalition government was correcting the mistakes made by the previous government, giving due emphasis to both development and welfare.
He said that Pattadar passbooks contain complete ownership details and with the national emblem printed on them, they give people a greater sense of security.
Criticizing the YSR Congress party for creating chaos during its tenure and leaving farmers to fend for themselves, he claimed that the re-survey would permanently end land disputes and give farmers easy access to bank loans and government schemes.
Mr. Ramu slammed YSRCP president and former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for having his photographs printed on people’s privately owned documents, calling it an example of the former Chief Minister’s obsession with self-promotion. He said that in Gudivada constituency alone, the government is distributing 25,000 Pattadar passbooks for free till January 9.
Gudivada RDO Balasubramanyam, Jana Sena Party In-charge Buragadda Srikanth, Chairman Market Yard Ch. Ravikumar, TDP Mandal President V. Murali and others were present.
