President Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) Vijay called on the BJP government on Wednesday to immediately withdraw the draft WAQF Act (amendment), 2024.
In his statement, he stated that the bill was re -established by question marks of “secular value”, which is the basic core of Indian democracy and also the framework of the Indian Constitution.

“The BJP government says that changes are brought in favor of the Muslim community and that the opposition will divert (attention) through false propaganda. If what they say is true why there was no Muslim representative to introduce the bill,” Mr. Vijay asked.
TVK adopted a resolution on the selection of the law at its first meeting on the general body, he said.
If the BJP government does not take a bill, TVK will connect with the hand with the Islamic community and protest, he adds.
