At least 41 people died and many others were injured after the bumper broke out on Saturday evening during the political assembly of TVK Chief Vijay in Karur Tamil Nadu. The victims included women and children, while those who fainted during the stir were transported to the nearest hospital for treatment.
National President BJP JP Nadda expressed sincere condolences to people who came during the TVK rally in Karur.
“The National President has set up a delegation of the NDA to visit Karura Tamil Nadu and see the circumstances that led to this incident, to meet the families of this tragedy and submit his report as first,” he said.
