Actor and President Tamilaga vetri Kazhagam (TVK) C. Joseph Vijay was not appointed in the first information report (companies), registered in connection with the death of 41 people at the recent Karur Stamnede, “for political reasons”, complained by the Madras.
The judge tried to limit the Minister of the Interior and CEO of the Police to grant a road show to the formulation of the instructions/standard operational procedures (SOP) on Friday (October 3, 2025) in the petition on the hearing before Judge N. Senthilkar on Friday (October 3, 2025).
PH Dinesh, 44, of Villivakkam in Chennai, filed an affidavit to support his written petition, accused TVK full responsibility for the death of 41 individuals in the karur. He said that the tragedy occurred as a result of “careless planning and complete negligence of the organizers”.
The dispute that said the crowd that could have been done to see Mr. Vijay and listened to his speech was wrong to believe that he would deal with the gathering in Venusamypurama around 12:00, even though he arrived on the spot after 19:00.
He stated that a long delay in arrival of the leader, lack of drinking water, absence of barricades, etc. There were reasons for death, said the court, the crowd went Birserk to capture the bottles of water that fired him from his caravan, led to more deaths and injuries.
Although the police registered companies against the General Secretary of TVK “Bussy” Anand alias N. Anand, Deputy Secretary General CTR Nirmal Kumar and several others: “For the best known authorities … Companies did not include the name of Mr. Vjay. The act is purely for political reasons,” Affidavit read.
He argued that criminal proceedings initiated by the police against TVK leaders seem to be “eye”, the petitioner said and stated the representation of the Minister of the Interior and DGP 30 September 2025 for ensuring a free and fair probes in the tragedy.
In the national team, Petioner claimed that attempts were made to “protect” Mr. Vijay from prosecution, although he was directly responsible for death and said: “Such an approach not only undermines the rule of law, but also denies justice to the families of 41 innocent victims.”
It also insisted that the SOP was divided, thus compulsory for the police to assess the risks before granting permission to such public events, impose a limitation of the number of people who could be authorized to collect, strictly observe time restrictions, ensure plans for evacuation of emergency evacuation, etc.
The dispute called on the court to issue the direction of the Minister of the Interior and DGP to consider the instructions/SOP by considering its representation and not to provide permission for the road show no political party until the formulation of such instructions/SOP.
