Tamilga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) President Vijay on Tuesday (October 28, 2025) announced the formation of a 28-member executive committee to the collective committee to coordinate day-to-day affairs of the party.
In a statement, Mr Vijay said the new executive committee would work under his leadership. The committee includes the party’s top leadership — N. Anand, general secretary; Aadhav Arjuna, General Secretary – Election Campaign Management; KG Arunraj, General Secretary — Politics and Propaganda; CTR Nirmal Kumar, Joint General Secretary; A. Rajasekar, Head Office Secretary; and A. Rajmohan, C. Vijayalakshmi and M. Arul Prakasam, Deputy Secretaries General.
The committee also has 18 district secretaries including Vice President Mathiyazhagan, the party’s West Karur district secretary, who was named as the first accused in a case registered by the Karur police and later by the CBI following the September 27 Karur stampede during a rally addressed by Mr. Vijay that claimed 41 lives. The committee also included two primary party members, including N. Maria Wilson, who is associated with an educational institution in Chennai.
