Playback singer-composer Komanduri Ramachary said on Thursday that students should be actively involved in fine arts, science and technology and sports as their combination plays a vital role in overall personality development and career growth.
He was speaking as the chief guest at the inauguration of ‘Vignan Mahotsav 2K26’ at Vignan University, Vadlamudi, in Guntur district.
Mr. Ramachary said every student is born with at least one innate artistic skill and identifying and nurturing that talent is essential.
He emphasized that academic excellence alone cannot form a complete individual and that knowledge of science and technology along with fine arts and sports create confident and capable leaders.
Chairman of Vignan Educational Institutions Lavu Rattaiah said victory is only a sentence while defeat is a school that teaches valuable lessons.
He stressed the importance of honoring both the winners and the participants to maintain true sportsmanship.
Vignan University CEO Meghana Kurapati said the turnout was a real success, noting that over 80 competitions were held as part of the festival.
Authorized vice-rector prof. KV Krishnakishore advised the students to never put off learning new skills and to focus equally on physical fitness and creativity.
