(Bloomberg) -Aver Vietnam is preparing for tropical cyclone Wipha, which can intensify on Typhoon-Sil before preparation on Tuesday after watching the iconic national bay.
Wipha is currently near the port city of Beihai in the Chinese province of Guangxi and the joint warning center of the US Navy predicts that the storm is gradually strengthening as it moves through the Gulf of Tonkin. The outer belts of the system already bring heavy collisions to the capital of Hanoi.
Gale-Force’s wind on Sunday threw Hong Kong as Wipha watched south of the city at Typhoon-Puvenality, shot down the trees and led to the flight. She covered the storms on the mainland Chinese coast before she ran near Yangjiang and moved inland on the western track towards Vietnam.
Wipha passed a relatively flat terrain and, according to JTWC, kept the system together “quite nicely” when he is heading to the Gulf of Tonkin. Warm waters drive its development and Wipha “intensifies at least the top tropical storm power and potentially back to the strength of the typhoon in front of Landfall in Vietnam,” JTWC said.
According to the National Center for the Hydro-Meteorological predict, heavy downpours are predicted on Monday to Wednesday on the northeast Vietnam, the Delta of the Red River and parts of the northern central coast, with up to 600 millimeters (24 inches) in some areas.
The Vietnamese weather agency warned on Tuesday afternoon in coastal areas with a high risk of flooding, especially in Hung Yen-Quang Ninh near the port city of Haiphong, with a storm growth of almost five meters in some places. The conditions are also dangerous at sea for all types of vessels, because the upcoming storm causes strong winds and high waves, the office added.
Last week, Wipha developed as an area of low pressure in the waters east of the Philippines and brought heavy rain to the north of the country. The storm, known locally as a crisis, caused damage to infrastructure of $ 3.8 million and killed at least five people, said the National Disaster Agency on Monday.
