A forty -year -old man lost his life in a crash at night in Nagar, Western Delhi, when he was thrown into his motorcycle, the police said on Saturday.
The victim, Bech Lal, stopped the bike behind the truck near the signal, while on his way to the hospital, when Mahindra Thar came from behind and hit him – killed him on the spot, said PTI.
The last accident means the second incident of the Hit-and-Run case in Delhi, recorded within one month.
How did the accident occur?
After intervening the victim, Thar got out of control – slipped onto the sidewalk, smashed into the electric pole and hit the stone bench before finally stopped for a short distance.
The visual elements showed two bottles of alcohol in the front seat of the indebted car. The SUV driver fled from the scene after the incident and is still free.
“Thar driver fled from the place immediately. Several teams were created that tracked him,” said police officer PTI.
The case has been registered and investigators scan CCTV shots to assess the speed of the vehicle.
The Bech Lal family was informed and his body was sent to postmort.
